Neil Young Harvest LP **UK GENUINE 1st Press** SUPER AUDIO [Ex/Vg+]

Description

An original and genuine 1st press of HARVEST from spring 1972. Matrix A1/B2 - one of the earliest cuts you can obtain. Looks at the labels - lots of signs of absolute 1st press. No Warners logo in the perimeter text. Also NO sign of 'Made In UK' text which appeared in 1972. Lovely heavy-set vinyl which is found on the earliest copies. The vinyl comes housed in an original TEXTURED cover with sealed left panel. We also have a genuine Harvest textured inner sleeve and the lyric sheet. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In super condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of slight marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Remember this is YOUNG and his audio is 90% super fussy. Most copies are just not gonna deliver the goods. You need to go early. You need to go clean. And this example is more than capable of delivering the rendition that will properly reveal this genius of this release. Predominantly a clean player. You might detect a few crackles in one isolated brief spot per side. E.g.  Man Needs A Maid. Nothing upfront - and difficult to find perfectly clean. Overall a super player and there's little to find fault with.
Cover (Vg+) Not too bad. Remember that all the covers will age. Finding one without ageing is like finding the proverbial needle in a haystack! Good clean front, but expect ageing particular toward the edges. I like the rear - really nice without nasty surface wear. The interior looks superb - no issues. Some light edge wear, but nothing worrisome. Nice sharp firm openings. Spine has tarnished as you would expect. But text all still legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Aged. But no splits.
Lyric Insert (Vg+) Again, aged - but in great condition.
