Greetings All,
Up for auction here is an absolutely stunning original first pressing of Neil Young's great record "On The Beach" R2180 IN SHRINK from the infamous ditch trilogy. Flower pattern inside of album cover jacket as seen in photos.
The album cover is in near perfect condition, the colors full and vibrant and virtually no signs of wear on it. The LP itself is a strong VG+ as it has some visible scratches here and there, but plays like an excellent (EX) record. Lots of gloss and life in this record as seen in photos, sounds incredible. It has been cleaned with care and play-tested by me right before listing. Inner sleeve with song credits and Rusty Kershaw's letter is in VG shape with a little wear, nothing that jeopardizes the record's movement.
Still in its original shrink, I will also include a high-quality plastic outer sleeve to ship it in. I will say (and did my best to photograph), the shrink is still almost perfect but it seems as though someone applied roughly 1-2 inch tape on the bottom right corner and a little small piece (maybe one inch) tear at top right corner. Slight indents on bottom of back of cover (also photographed).
Otherwise, a mostly stunning visual and outstanding playing condition copy of this record. For original copies, I don't really think I've personally come across a copy where the jacket is in such great condition and full color with hardly any wear like this. Not to mention being kept in shrink! Beautiful.
