Rare US Only 180g LP released in 2010 on Reprise Records. Cat: 525956-1. Matrix numbers: 1-525956-A/ 1-525956-BComes in heavy gatefold sleeve. Has printed lyric insert. This album was deleted on vinyl only shortly after it’s release due to Neil being unhappy with the sound quality. Only released in the US in very limited quantitiesThe old conventional wisdom on Neil Young used to be that he alternated between acoustic folk and full-on guitar skronk with every other album, but 2010’s Le Noise the French affection in its title a tongue-in-cheek tip of the beret to his producer Daniel Lanois melds the two extremes. At its core, it’s a singer/songwriter album, a collection of reflections and ruminations about life and loss in the modern world, war imagery rubbing against battered memories and tattered autobiography, the songs leisurely following their own winding path, but it’s produced loudly, with Neil supporting himself with only his electric guitar for all but two tracks, where he switches the Les Paul for an acoustic. He’s not in Crazy Horse mode, spitting out chunky garage rock riffs, but strumming his overdriven electric, with Lanois tweaking the results, accentuating the ambience in post-production.

Record is in MInt condition. Heavy weight gatefold cover and printed insert are in Near Mint condition.

Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.

Post method for overseas: All parcels are sent via Australia Post and are sent on a standard airmail service. There are no tracking numbers on these items. If you require a tracking number the item will have to be sent as an insured item which incurs a further postage fee.
