Description

Offered for Sale is a Neil Young "TONIGHT'S THE NIGHT" lp.

This is his sixth studio album, released in 1975.  It was recorded in 1973 (most of it on a single day, August 26). It's release was delayed for two years. This album is a direct expression of grief for him.  Crazy Horse guitarist Danny Whitten and Young's friend and roadie Bruce Berry had both died of drug overdoses in the months before the songs were written. The title track mentions Berry by name, while Whitten's guitar and vocal work highlight "Come on Baby Let's Go Downtown.

It is on the Reprise record label with the LP # MS 2221.

This is the ORIGINAL 1975 GATEFOLD lp, with the ORIGINAL inner picture sleeve.

This LP had never been played, (till now) but as a PROMO I received it open.  I play tested it and can say 100% that the record is primo.

Never the less, after 35 to 45 years of shifting around in boxes, wear does occur, so PLEASE check the photos for a clear picture of what you will be receiving.  I do not rate covers, only the vinyl itself.  Also, there may be minor scuffing marks, from the inner sleeve.  This IN NO WAY affects the sound, or I would not list it. There is also the possibility that the inner sleeve could have a slit on one or more of its sides.

NOTE: I was a buyer for two different record chains in Hollywood, Ca.  As such, I received a couple of boxes of records a week, to entice me to buy.  More often than not, they were always open copies, and if you wanted to sell them to a used record store you could only get about a $1.00 cash, or $2.00 in trade for them.
