Description
Original 1993 German 1A 1B early repress copy of Neil Young- Unplugged released on the Reprise label 9362-45310-1.
Recorded as part of the wonderful MTV "Unplugged" series of live performances with a lucky studio audience present, it includes many of Neil's much loved songs including Harvest Moon, Like A Hurricane, Unknown Legend plus more - see photos for full track listing.
This had a very limited release on vinyl ( it was 1993 when digital CDs reigned supreme) therefore is a really rare find. It is utterly gorgeous and a very reluctant sale.....
The record has been ultrasonically cleaned in our amazing Degritter and the vinyl has come up sparkling clean & lustrous with only a few very faint marks visible in bright light Clean labels and spindle holes - graded EX
Like the other MTV Unplugged recordings ( Eric Clapton, George Michael, Nirvana and more) this is an immersive and totally engaging listening experience.
The live atmosphere is captured beautifully with Neil's warmth and interaction with the audience really evident. The supporting musicians are top class. The audience's delight comes through as Neil demonstrates why he is regarded as one of the finest songwriters of our time, up there with Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Paul Simon and other legends.
The vinyl plays through beautifully with no jumping or sticking. The sound engineers did a top job here, the sound quality is superb - warm, detailed and in the room. Some very occasional low background noise/crackle in some places, mostly between tracks, but definitely no spoiler.
The outer sleeve is solid & clean overall with creasing & light wear to edges and corners. Good readable spine. Some shelfwear to the top seam. No writing, stains, splits, tears or tape.
The original printed inner lyric sleeve is included- however we have popped the record into a fresh poly lined inner to keep it pristine after cleaning - you will receive both.
A rare opportunity to own a copy of this wonderful album, fully cleaned & tested, ready to pop straight onto your turntable & play loud!
