That's one reviewer's comment on this legendary and rare vinyl LP which captures two amazing musicians at the height of free jazz excitement: Han Bennink, Dutch percussionist and creative genius, and the late Willem Breuker, Dutch saxophonist and more, recorded in two sessions in Amsterdam at the end of 1967 and released as the first of the Instant Composers Pool catalogue as ICP001. The compositions are by Willem Breuker, with stunning interpretations from both musicians.
The cover is engagingly obscene, so I might have to censor the photo if Ebay is being prudish. Bennink adorned individual covers with his own choice of artistic endeavour: some have tiny objects glued to them, some have Bennink's personal contribution, so each one is a unique piece of Bennink's art. This front cover has some blue shading, a couple of arrows and - I believe - a scribbled phallus and a dotted line ... make of that what you will!
The LP is in very good condition [as defined at Discogs] from close visual inspection. The cover has a sticker in top right corner, and shows gentle wear as you would expect from a cared-for product of the 1960s.
The average/mean sale price on discogs for this unique LP is £234!
