Description
Japan first pressing 12" with two classic tracks in VG++ to NM condition. OBI is clean and crisp with lyrics, so released without an insert. Very minor corner bump to upper and lower right, and the start of ring wear; otherwise beautifully original shape. This is from my personal collection. New Order is / was my favorite band and I collected their catalog as best I could mostly as each release came out haunting my favorite record store that handled imports in middle America. Ian Curtis, Bernard Sumner, Peter Hook, and Steven Morris formed The Stiff Kittens (mistakenly printed on a gig flyer), Warsaw, and finally the epic Joy Division, that managed a limited amount of quality output that is as relevant today as ever. Ian passed in 1980 and the group New Order began as a new chapter in the lives of the remaining band members, soon to add Gillian Gilbert. New Order evolved into a more electronic based synth style. The classic sleeve is by Peter Saville. This color coded sleeve decodes to the band name and the two titles. The decoder ring is found on the back of P.C.&L. full length. Often referred to as the best selling 12" of all time. Smoke-free home, kept in a resealable Japanese sleeve, minimally played. Combine auction wins to save on shipping; up to 6 records for $5.
