This is an iconic piece of British graphic design (as much as it is a classic piece of Rock & Pop music history). A very rare and collectible item for New Order fans and/or connoisseurs of British design history.

Signed by its designer, Peter Saville (in silver ink) on the inner sleeve. Its famous floral image design is based upon the Henri Fantin-Latour painting of 1890. The back of the sleeve has the classic die-cut disk design which is also used on the iconic ‘Blue Monday’ (FAC73) 12” single cover.

Peter kindly signed this for me when I organised an exclusive Q&A event for him at Cornerhouse arts centre in Manchester on Thursday 10th July 2008. I’ve had it framed on the wall at home ever since. Now, it needs a good new home.

Condition:

Considering this LP is 36 years old, it’s in amazing condition. I’ve graded the sleeve as VG+ and the record as VG+. There’s some general wear on the edges of the cover and inner sleeve. The record itself has a few slight scuffs on it (but plays well - very clean in sound). On the cover: Front - some gentle creasing to the bottom right corner. Back - some gentle creasing to the bottom right corner. I’m happy to send close-up photos on request. Please don’t hesitate to ask me any questions before bidding.
