Description

New Order, Power Corruption & Lies Vinyl. Original 1983 UK Factory Record.

Nice original 1st Press Factory release of New Order's Second LP, Power Corruption & Lies from 1983.
Outer Sleeve - Overall a very nice looking sleeve, All the edges and the spine show very little wear. No damage only some overall light creasing. Some slight fading to the spine but overall a nice glossy sharp looking sleeve, not mint, but very very presentable. This is the slave with similar cut-outs to the back to replicate a floppy disk as on the 12" Blue Monday (see images). EX+
Inner Sleeve - Original and correct gloss black inner with colour coding to edge, some crescent shaped creases to the opening end.  EX+   Vinyl - Visually has lots of light hairlines, Plays with light crackling on the lead in / out and between the tracks but does not interfere with the music and certainly no clicks, or jumps. VG+
Dead Wax Info A side - FACT 75 A1 MT 7 STRAWBERRY Dead Wax Info B side - FACT 75-B-1 MT 4 STRAWBERRY
According to Discogs this is a combination of Variant 7 and Variant 8?
Labels - Nice and clean and undamaged. Spindle marks on both sides.
An excellent original copy with a nice sharp bright looking sleeve. The record, I would describe as a great everyday player, something that you can use without worrying about and may improve with cleaning an further playing. All in all  super addition to your record collection. The second New Order LP after the discontinuation of Joy Division, finally the New Order sound is coming through and gone are the overtones of Joy Division as present on the previous Movement LP, This maybe due, in part, to the departure of Martin Hanett, anyone that has seen 24 hour party people will recall this scene from the film (with the gun).

Please study the images for condition etc, paying attention to the corners, spine and opening side of the sleeve as this is a good indicator of the condition.
I try to be honest as possible if a little conservative in my grading on a subject that is often completely down to subjective interpretation. with the grading to avoid disappointment. The condition of the record is difficult to photograph, but hopefully the sleeve images speak for themselves.
