Still sealed in original plastic. Pressed in West Germany, Printed in U.S.A.
The last two photos show what the inside of the album looks like, the were taken from a opened copy for reference. The copy in this auction is new and sealed.
A direct cut disc is recorded directly from the studio microphones to the master laquer with no tape or remixing. This is the cleanest, lowest distortion, and lowest noise method of recording.
Label printed on back: Take 5, Sheffield Lab direct to disc recordings are limited editions by the fact that only a finite quantity of pressings can be obtained from a single lacquer master. In order to achieve sufficient pressings to clear our initial expenses, we obtain more than one performance of each side. Two performances of Lab 1 are presently available, Take 5 and Take 6. Only our best takes from the standpoint of performance and engineering are ever released. While these versions are deemed equal, their highlights often occur in different places.
