NEW YORK DOLLS AND BEYOND

This listing is for the following four vinyl albums, to be sold as a bulk purchase, not as individual sales.

All are from my record collection, are completely original and were purchased by myself in the year of their releases. Unfortunately, I no longer have a record deck, so can not vouch for their playability. However, although not played for many years, they have been carefully stored and looked after, so I see no reason for their being any problems, but I can’t guarantee this.

New York Dolls - New York Dolls. 1973. Mercury 6338 270.

This is the iconic first album of The Dolls. “Mock rock” at its brilliant best. Even the cover artwork is famous in its own right. A much sought after and collectable album.

I have played this album more than the others, so shows a few signs of wear and tear, but is still in excellent condition bearing in mind it is 48 years old. There are no obvious scratches or damage on the vinyl. Inner sleeve has yellowed in places.

New York Dolls - Too Much Too Soon. 1974. Mercury 6463 064.

The second and final studio recording of The Dolls. Some people prefer this album to the first as they think the recording mix is more representative of the bands sound. Again, a very collectable album.

Cover is in great condition with only a couple of minor scuffs. Vinyl is excellent, as is the inner sleeve except for a small stain on one side.

The Heartbreakers (Johnny Thunders) - L.A.M.F. 1977. Track Records 2409-218

This, the one and only studio album made by The Heartbreakers is a punk classic and arguably, one of the top punk albums produced. Much sought after.

Cover is in mint condition as is the vinyl. Inner sleeve has yellowed slightly in parts.

David Johansen - David Johansen. 1978. Blue Sky (CBS) S SKY 82335.

I believe this is the first solo album of David Johansen after The Dolls finally split up. Some interesting and very listenable tracks, some co-written with Syl Sylvain (although he only plays guitar on one track), which still have a Dolls vibe.

Cover in great condition (slight scuffing on the open edge). Vinyl and inner sleeve in mint condition.

I’ll be sorry to see these go as they are part of my music nostalgia, but as I no longer have a record deck, hopefully, someone else will be able to enjoy them.

They will be packed in a proper card postage mailer, specifically designed for vinyl LP’s to prevent damage. Will be posted Royal Mail and will require a signature upon receipt.
