Condition of jacket: Excellent, only very slight rubbing wear.
Condition of record: Excellent, very glossy, appears almost like new with only some very slight scuffing. Marks around spindle holes show it has been played at least a couple times.

THE CHOIR SCHOOL OF SAINT THOMAS CHURCH was founded in 1919 through the cooperative efforts of Dr. Ernest M. Stires, then Rector of St. Thomas, Dr. T. Tertius Noble, organist and choirmaster, and Mr. Charles Steele, vestryman and principal benefactor of the School's endowment fund.
Three men have served as choirmasters; Dr. Noble (1913to 1943), Dr. T. Frederick H. Candlyn (1943 to 1954) and William Self, the present organist and choirmaster. The Choir School is a boarding school with an enrollment of fifty young men in grades 5 through 8.
RANDALL THOMPSON, the well-known American composer, was commissioned by Saint Thomas Church to write a composition for the Fiftieth Anniversary of the Choir School. His work. The Place Of The Blest, was written during Dr. Thompson's sojourn in Switzerland early in 1969 and received its first performance at the Anniversary Service on March 2,1969.
GEORGE BRAGG, guest conductor, is the Founder-Director of The Texas Boys Choir of Fort Worth, Texas.
