New York Yankees vs. New York Giants Exhibition Game Metal Master Disc 1946

Item up for bid is the rarest piece if sports memorabilia I have ever encountered. This is a Metal Master disc (very large record used by radio stations to record events and music to be played back in an over the air broadcast or make commercial records from) for the Mayor's Cup exhibition game on August 5th, 1946 between the New York Yankees and the New York Giants. This game was a charity game organized by the Mayor of New York. Many baseball greats took part in this game and to my knowledge this is the only recorded evidence of this game. The surface shows some light wear in the recorded area but nothing that will prevent play. The only concern area I would have is on one side where the black on the disc has worn off and you can see the metal underneath. On one side these spots are not on the recorded areas so no worries there but on the other side there are a couple on the edge of the recorded area so it is possible (if you want or have the equipment to play this) that a few moments of the broadcast could be interrupted (see photos as I don't exactly know how to describe this). Labels say "Empire" and list the teams, date and broadcast times with handwriting from what I would presume to be a program director or DJ. The original brown storage sleeve is present but shows a lot of wear and tear though it is still functional. This is not the size of a standard record and is not constructed like a standard record would be either. Record looks and feels like it is made of metal and measures roughly 16 inches across. Do not pass up this chance to own a piece that truly belongs in a museum. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.
