Ultra obscure DIY/Private Pressing from 1964, four well played 60s Garage/R&B/Freakbeat/Mod tunes.  I can not find any info on the net about the band or the record!  Four very good, competent tracks, blank white labels that have handwritten information.  Could be that the band had the record privately pressed to hawk around record companies or just for their own vanity!  Either way this could be a unique one off.

According to the labels the band were called 'Next In Line' and consisted of Charlie Blomfield (Vocals), Bo Meftah (Rhythm Guitar), Butch Thorpe (Lead Guitar), Drew Jones (Drums) and Max Rhodes (Bass Guitar) and was recorded at Bournemouth Studios in 1964.  The record label/company that issued it is unclear, but the stamped run out grooves are:

As a revision, many thanks to Andrew for the following information:

 The WES prefix was for Wessex Studios.  By 1965 they must have changed their name to 'Some Other Guys' and were still trying to use the single as a promotional tool probably for a record contract.  They were an R&B band made up of students from Bryanston School, managed by John Dunbar who had earlier attended the same school and went on to marry Mariane Faithful. This is the group's only known recording.

Bryanston School is in Blandford, Dorset not too far from Bournemouth, so the handwritten 'Bornemouth Studios' on the labels must have been another name for the 'Wessex Studios'?

G  (still retains something of a sheen, has a lot of fine hairlines/scuffs and marks.  All the tracks play through some better than others:

Bear in mind this is how they play on my limited record player, there is scope no doubt to physically clean the vinyl and use a better, maybe heavier needle to improve the playback)

I record all sound files direct from the record offered in this auction on an Audio Technica AT-LP60 USB turntable at a 128 bit rate with no sound manipulation. I have not always got the time to listen right through each track, if there are any jumps, skips, pops and crackles you will hear them and can bid accordingly. For this reason I do not accept returns on the basis of record condition. Please listen to them before bidding!

All records are sent in manufactured record mailers with cardboard stiffeners. The vinyl and cover are separated to avoid seam splits in transit.

I calculate postage using the Royal mail postage calculator. I charge an extra 50p for packing materials as i buy specialist record mailers and stiffeners. Sometimes records cost less to mail than i expect. In these cases i try to refund the difference.

Europe/Rest of the World-All records sent outside the UK that total under £30, a proof of postage receipt will be acquired.

Grading Conditions

I grade the records condition visually only, unless I state what the record actually plays like and provide an audio MP3 sample.  This is because I do not always have time to play everything, so bear this in mind. 

I am strict with my grading so you can feel confident in my conclusions. My feedback will reflect this.  Anyone unhappy solely with my visual grading can return item for refund. However if I have provided pictures and sound files then I do not accept returns on basis of condition. 

As a general guide my grading conditions are based on Record Collector Magazine thus:

MINT

The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint. 

EXCELLENT (Ex)

The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. 

VERY GOOD (VG)

The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD/WORN

The record has obviously been over played, and will probably display deterioration in sound quality, it will probably have lots of fine lines and the odd scratch. Wear and tear on the cover or extra items.
