Up for grabs is an original 1981 release of the Ozzy Osbourne classic Blizzard of Ozz still in the shrink wrap. This album introduced the mind-blowing guitar skills of Randy Rhoades to the world. This is an original Terre Haute pressing. The runout matrix includes the "Mastered at Allen Zentz L.A. Calif" with flower which identifies it as an original pressing. I'm going to rate the overall condition of the album as VG++. The visual grade of the LP under natural lighting was EX with the original gloss in tact. I also played-tested samples from the LP and the surface noise was extremely minimal. In fact, when I sampled the acoustic track "Dee," I could not believe how quiet the record was considering it is 40+ years old. I also got the sense of that analog warmth that you don't get with more recent pressings. The cover is still in the original shrink wrap. I'm going to rate the condition of the cover as VG+ due to some minor wear on the ends and corner which are clearly displayed in the attached pictures. The original sleeve is also included and is in decent condition except for slight tears to the bottom and one side of the sleeve that enable the record to peak out slightly. Overall, this is a really nice copy of this classic album. It looks and plays great. Original copies in this condition don't come around often because most people who owned this record wore it out when it came out. Please look at the pictures carefully which I think clearly display the condition of the album.
