Description

This is an autographed copy of the Australian version of Nick Cave and the Bad Seed’s 1985 album The First Born is Dead, released on the Possum Records label, catalogue number STUMM 21. This version has both the Mute and Possum Records logos on both labels.

I was at the Bad Seeds concert at The Venue in St Kilda, Melbourne on February 26, 1988. I noticed after the gig that Nick was staying around at the stage door to sign autographs and chat, so I went back to the gig the following night with my copy of The First Born is Dead in my back pack and got Nick to sign it.

That album has been stored in a protective plastic sleeve in a climate controlled room ever since. It has never been played and I only took the record out of its sleeve for the first time today, to take the photographs, so the label and vinyl are pristine. The cover has a very slight central ring mark from being stored in amongst other LPs for the last 34 years.

Please let me know if you need any further information.
