Original 1st UK Pressing on Island Records          Pink Label- Black Island “Circle” Logo

Vinyl Condition- near Mint-Excellent.  Described by a stall holder at a Cheltenham Record fair as “the finest copy he had ever seen.”

Despite being over 40 years of age the record looks like new- it shows very few signs of being played more than a handful of times. The labels on both sides are in stunning condition. It plays fantastically well- with very little in the way of background noise, although there is a little crackling at the start on side 2 Track one- lasts approx 20 seconds. There are no skips or jumps and overall sounds superb.

The sleeve is in VG/ Excellent Condition

Gatefold printed and made by Ernest J Day & Co Ltd.

Spine is readable but shows signs of fraying.

Front sleeve has signs of fraying at bottom, has a scuff mark of approx 2 inches- (see photo). There is a blob  above the N of “Nick” that appears to be candle wax, and as can be seen in all photos- a price tag above the k and e Of “Drake.” There are also small creases and indentations on the front- but overall, considering its age, is in truly remarkable condition.

The Inner gatefold is in excellent condition, showing very few signs of age.

Rear of sleeve is also in excellent condition. only marking is a ring- possibly from a coffee cup or similar (see photo).

Track Listing on the rear cover lists tracks 4 – Day Is Done and track 5- Way To Blue in the wrong order.

Overall, this is a superb example of this very rare Debut album by Nick Drake.

Record will be packed with stiffeners and due to its value will only be despatched by Registered post.
