Description
I am offering for auction Nick Drake's BRYTER LAYTER.This is an original 1970 first pressing in stereo on the extremely rare and collectible Pink rim Island label.
The record and matrix numbers are; ILPS 9134
A1 U / B1 U
Stampers I 11 on both sides.
Vinyl Description Excellent ++
Visual inspection reveals overall surface is smooth and glossy with a mirror-like finish on heavyweight vinyl.Some minor paper scuffs which cannot be heard when record is playing.The record lies perfectly flat on the turntable and shows no visible warp when spinning.The labels are immaculate with no writing or marks.There are very few faint spindle traces around centre hole.
The audio quality is superb! Crystal clear sound from this first pressing.No audible distortion over the full dynamic range.Beautiful clarity and depth. It plays without sticking,jumping and there are no loud pops or clicks caused by scratches.Some occasional slight soft crackle between tracks only.Nothing to interrupt listening enjoyment.Has to be rare in this condition;such a fragile,delicate recording.

This is the first press un-laminated,textured cover which is very prone to wear.No creasing or marks but spine is showing wear.Some ring-wear but front and rear faces still look very nice.Inner sleeve is the original poly-lined in excellent condition for it's age.
