Description
NICK DRAKE - 'FIVE LEAVES LEFT'
UK 1973 2nd PRESSING LP
This outstanding UK 2nd pressing dates from c.1972 when EMI took over pressing duties from Polydor and bears the 'pink rimmed' Island design: ILPS-9105
The disc is housed within a 2nd issue 'Robor Limited' printed cover with the lyrics for Three Hours (here titled 'Sundown'), Saturday Sun and River Man printed inside.
This cover differs slightly from the first issue in that the sleeve is made from thicker card, is a lighter shade of green on the front and omits the 'Basing St.' address from the rear of the sleeve.
It comes complete with its original plain white 'Patent Nos..' inner-sleeve.

A super clean & unblemished pair bearing only a handful of light spindle trails around each centre hole.
Visual: NEAR MINT
Pristine playing surfaces which are immaculate and unmarked in strong daylight with just a few insignificant wispy inner-sleeve removal paper hairlines directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp. Both sides of this superb copy lie 100% flat on the turntable with no signs of dishing or warping.
Play: EXCELLENT +
This beautiful sounding copy has only received a few careful plays on top-quality equipment and is warm, clean & clear throughout. My careful play check at volume detected a hint of light background, but nothing more than one would expect with a recording of this delicate nature. There is definately no trace of any groove/play wear or any other deterioration to the sound quality. The only significant blemish I found was two light 'ticks' on 'Time Has Told Me', but apart from that the entire album is fault free and sounds wonderful.

EXCELLENT
A fine clean, vibrant & unworn example with little more than slight corner rubs, but no other signifcant traces of wear - inside or out. All seams are unstressed and unsplit and the spine is undamaged.
Inner-sleeve:

Clean & flat with some soft storage creases but no writing, tears or splits.
