Description
This Auction is for an 1979 Nick Drake Box set with original booklet and inserts, I have owned this box set for a few years and taken very good care of it since purchase. I have played it through recently and it is free of any audio faults - sounds great! I do not have a buy it now price as I prefer to auction it.
Vinyl: All three LPs are in excellent condition with a lovely bight sheen. Sleeve: the card inners are all present and in excellent condition and free from any wear. Box: VG the box has some light wear to the corners, the laminate has peeled a little as a consequence of this wear. However overall the box is still sturdy and free from any splits etc Labels: all clean and in excellent order.
I grade in accordance with the Rare Record Price Guide, I do my utmost to grade accurately and I tend to grade conservatively to avoid buyer disappointment. On higher interest/ value items I may also play grade to check for any audio faults. That said I do accept returns in instances when the buyer is not satisfied (Buyer pays postage). The gradings are as follows:
Mint: The record itself is in Brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. (I only sell items as mint when they are Sealed/ new)
Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/ or creasing.
Very good: The record has obviously been played many times, but display no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover and extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and the contents suffer from folding, scuffing of the edges, spine splits, discolouration etc.
