1st Mono US issue of Nico's debut album "Nico: Chelsea Girl", released on Verve Records in 1967, in a factory sealed condition. The name of the album refers to Andy Warhol's film "Chelsea Girl" in which Nico played one of the principal roles. The film is about the female residents of Chelsea Hotel in New York. The album was released in October, 1967 on Verve Records just a few months after The Velvet Underground & Nico. The majority of very early Mono copies of this album, just like this copy most likely, has a misprint on the blue Verve Records label indicating Track A2 as "I've Been Out Walking" but "These Days" on the back cover. This Nico's album was produced by Tom Wilson who also was the producer for 1968 The Velvet Underground "White Light / White Heat", a very rare 1st pressing embossed "Skull" cover copy of which you can also find on this auction along with an uncensored copy of The Velvet Underground & Nico. Just like the other albums, this copy is from my personal collection and is in stunning Mint condition. I hope it will find its new home where it will be well taken care of as I've done for so many years.
