Notes:Alison Steele was a pioneering disc jockey in Manhattan at what would become the archetypal progressive rock radio station in the United States, WNEW-FM. She would make a transition from her introduction quoted above to recordings of some of the more exceptional and experimental music being recorded at the time, as well as, featuring the best of the familiar favorites of her audience. The album includes track play from the artist's current releases and interviews with each artist, and are the actual recordings of the radio programs, complete with jingles for listeners to join the National Guard. Alison Steele is by far one of the most knowledgeable and engaging disc jockeys, regardless of gender, ever to be heard on the radio airwaves.
