Description
Nilsson Schmilsson is the seventh studio album by the American singer. Released on RCA Records in November 1971. It was the most commercially successful album and featured the smash “Without You”, written by Pete Ham and Tom Evans of the group Badfinger. It won a Grammy for Best Male Vocal Performance. The album was recorded in London and produced by Richard Perry. “Jump Into The Fire” and”Coconut” also became hit singles. The album is on Rolling Stones 500 Greatest Albums Of All-Time (#281). Simply a fantastic effort that showcased incredible vocal range. Tragically Nilsson destroyed his voice by many years of heavy alcohol use.
