All records are from the seller's own personal collection, unless expressly stated otherwise, and all records are manually cleaned and tested by personally listening to them, as well as visual inspection.
The lp record is in excellent or better condition, and the cover jacket is in very good + condition, showing a repair at the upper right corner and wrinkle at two corners.

This album, produced by Cal Lampley, was recorded live at the Village Gate in 1962. Nina Simone performs a variety of songs, ranging from gospel ("Go Where I Send You") to blues ("House of the Rising Sun") to standards ("Bye Bye Blackbird"). Ms. Simone, vocals and piano, is backed by Al Shackman, guitar; Bobby Hamilton, drums; and Chris White, bass. This appears to be the original issue of the album, as the inner sleeve promotes two television series, Top Cat and The Hathaways, which were broadcast during the 1961 - 1962 television season.
