Description

Up for sale is the US OOP (out of print) pressing of Nine Inch Nail's 5th studio album: Year Zero (B0008764-01). Includes 2 12 inch vinyl records in slightly-oversized tri-fold gatefold with full-size 12 page LP sized booklet, sticker on front and back of outer wrap. Second side of second record has no music, instead an etching of "the Presence."
Condition notes: The records are NM and play flawlessly. The 12 page booklet is also NM. The exterior tri-fold sleeve is VG++ to EX. Personally I think it'd be NM if not for a few dings, but I am grading conservatively to avoid any problems. The original shrinkwrap with hype sticker + barcode is included and can fit on the sleeve. The plastic is starting to tear about 2" at the right side top and bottom so be careful if you put it on. As for the tri-fold sleeve: the last three photos in the eBay picture gallery show the defects, the worse of which being a stress mark near the back left side bottom corner from a small bend. The corners have your run-of-the-mill corner wear for an album, the most noticeable of which is the top left corner. I couldn't fit photos of the corners here so please see my media fire gallery for close ups of those.

I think this is a really great example of one of NIN's best albums that has only risen steadily in value, especially in comparison to some of their other albums released around the same time (The Slip and Ghosts I-IV.) I wouldn't be parting with this unless I hadn't acquired a sealed copy to replace it with. It has great eye appeal and can make a perfect listening copy for a true fan not able to spend for a mint one.
