Description
Nine Unusual Children's Gramaphone Records
These records are mounted on original cut outs and play on a gramaphone, there are nine 4" records in total. They were produced by The Talking Book Corporation in New York publishers of "Talking" Story Books, Animals and Figures copyright 1918.
The records have details on the back of the cards of what the record is about and they are as follows.
1. The Mocking Bird
2. The Dancing Girl
3. The Hip-po-pot-a-mus.
4. The Tiger.
5. The Hollikid
6. The Christmas Carol
7. I am a Lion
8. The Little Hieland Mon.
9. I am a Parrot.
The records are made like any other gramaphone record and the backing cards are printed in wonderful colours. Some creases to cards, one record has become detached and is cracked, the Hieland Mon is missing his feet and the head on the dancing girl is taped on but the others seem ok. Dont have a gramaphone so don't know what they sound like. I notice a few sctatches on the records but they should play ok.
