***please note – I would like to state this first to avoid conflict of ideas later - I do not understand why I cannot put a P&P nowadays on e-bay for my records in the UK but for this one in particular – I expect a lot of interest. This combined with the value of the item – I would expect to send this recorded/insured and I would’ve thought the buyer would want it to be recorded/insured. Therefore – when you bid from the UK – please be prepared to add postage and packaging on top afterwards. I am reasonable though and will always help to find the right solution in this respect and I will send it however you desire using any means that I have access to in my local area. If you have a serious interest in buying this record and have any questions about how I can post this to you – please message me and I will do my best to find out a postage cost for you. For the time being I have put an international fee of £10 on but again, I would expect that the seller sends me the difference or vice versa.

This is 100% definitely a genuine and original record. There are shedloads of fakes out there (all the ones I have seen are obviously so) and it makes me sick to be honest. But rest assured – this is one of the 4,000 original tour EPs.

This record is in Excellent condition - played once or twice when I first bought it mid-90s but I don't have a record player – It played perfectly then and there is no reason why this will have changed.

I have collected Nirvana records avidly for 17 years now (unfortunately the arrival of a baby is forcing my arm into selling the lot!!).

I would say overall the item is in almost mint condition but I have to admit, there is a slight scuff on the top of the record cover at the peak of the record. When I say slight, it isn’t really noticeable unless you look for it. I do not regard it as a major detractor from the condition of the record but I can possibly send more photos on for anyone who wants close ups of this. Please be patient with my replies though – I have a busy schedule with work and a young baby to handle but I will reply when I can.

This is the Pearl of my record collection and I would not be selling it if it wasn’t necessary. I have kept this record in a very safe place, in a plastic wallet and with it’s plastic cover on. Also, inside is a plastic sheet for the record itself, all original.

I originally bought the record (I think – although it’s a while ago now) in 1993 from Esprit Mail Order records in Manchester (www.eil.com). I actually tried to order the Japanese CD but they contacted me to say they had sold out but I could have this instead. I said “ yes “ of course. I bought two at once, one of which went to a friend who still has his to this day. Once my wife goes back to work, I will be trying to buy his back from him!!!

I do not mind questions about any of the items I am selling and will always be 100% honest.

If you are interested in buying this record, I am guessing you are a collector and know your stuff about extremely rare Nirvana records as such, don’t need info about the record – but – I will provide this anyway. From Wikipedia:

“Songs

Four of the songs on Hormoaning are covers which had not been released previously. The remaining two songs are Nirvana originals which previously appeared as b-sides in singles for Nevermind.

"Aneurysm" and "Even in His Youth", two Nirvana originals produced and engineered by Craig Montgomery, also appear as b-sides on the "Smells Like Teen Spirit" single. This version of Aneurysm also appears on disc two of With the Lights Out and is different from the version released on Incesticide.

The other four songs are from a Peel Session, recorded for BBC Radio on October 21, 1990.

"Turnaround" (originally by Devo), "Son of a Gun" and "Molly's Lips" (originally by The Vaselines) appear on the Incesticide album.

"D-7" is a cover of The Wipers song and appears on the UK version of the "Lithium" single and later on disc 2 of With the Lights Out in 2004.

In Australia, 15,000 copies were released. 4,000 on burgundy 12" vinyl, 10,000 on CD, and 1,000 on cassette.

In Japan it was released on CD, and later 12" vinyl in large quantities. The two releases have entirely different artwork and as a result, the Australian version is considered rare due to the enduring popularity of the band.

There were only two "official" Japanese Geffen pressings, both on CD with barely noticeable variations in artwork. The Japanese CDs were rushed out without prior consent from the US parent company (note low rent artwork culled from Nevermind) and were subsequently deleted. All Japanese vinyl copies are counterfeit.
