The story of Simon SimopathSuper Rare Original UK LP released in 1967 on the Pink island Label. Cat: ILPS9059. This album has a gatefold sleeve and is the stereo version of the album.
The Story Of Simon Simopath is the debut album by British psychedelic band Nirvana, released by Island Records in 1967. The lyrics trace the story from life to death of the titular hero via a series of short songs. The story deals with a boy named Simon Simopath who dreams of having wings. He is unpopular at school, and after reaching adulthood (in 1999) goes to work in an office in front of a computer. He suffers a nervous breakdown and is unable to find help in a mental institution, but gets aboard a rocket and meets a centaur who will be his friend and a tiny goddess named Magdalena, who works at Pentecost Hotel. Simon and Magdalena fall in love and get married, followed by a jazzy party. Overall a lovely baroque pop psyche LP and noted for being one of the first concept album..

Labels show little sign of spindle wear and are both lovely and clean. Record has some light scuff marks and a few very light scratches that cause some light crackles mostly noticeable between tracks. There is one tiny mark right between track 1 & 2 that causes two loud pops and then a few light pops for 4 rotations into track two. Over all plats very nicely and is in VG+ condition. Cover has light ring wear, a light crease mark on bottom right corner, a few tiny surface tears around edges and the start of a small seam split on top left edge of spine and a few light marks on back.
