Description
NO. 2 by the Rolling Stones.
LK 4661
XARL 6619 1A/XARL 6620 1A
Collectable UK Decca unboxed first press in mono to the best of my knowledge.
Firstly, the record:
Visually very impressive. Both labels are clean & unmarked with minimal spindle wear indicating a lesser played copy. A few light marks on either side but generally pleasing to the eye with no deep impact damage.
A professional clean wouldn't go amiss because this is an old one but that said it does actually retain some sheen.
I have play tested this record (no *visual testing only nonsense) & it sounds just as fantastic as it looks. Slight crackle & pop on quieter sections which would be eliminated with a professional clean but very enjoyable from start to end as it is.
Secondly, the sleeve:
Superb. Unmarked & undamaged. A tiny bit of laminate lift & slight corner creases but they can be evened out in time. Great sharp spine.
Further notes:
Uncensored *blind man* text on sleeve. This was censored by mid 1965 so this is an early pressing;
Half laminated paste - over sleeve;
Missing comma on Jagger, Richards credit on track B5.
This is a super find & a great investment which will find a good place in anyone's collection.
**19th August: to the buyer who sent me an offer- sorry I forgot to respond today. Feel free to get back in touch**
I post promptly and securely second class to keep costs down and I sometimes use recycled packaging.
Polite disclaimer:
If you don't have the means to pay for a bid within 48 hours of sale then please let me know before bidding.
Also if you intend making an offer but you have further questions about the items for sale, then you should ask them *prior to making that offer. By making an offer you are committed to the sale should the retailer accept it as per eBay terms and conditions. Sorry to have to mention this but I've suffered some frankly rotten buying etiquette recently.
Domestic or GSP buyers only please.
Check out my feedback, bid with confidence, & thanks for looking
