The barrelorgan, which regularly strolls along the streets of Hol- land's big cities, has become widely known as a recordingobject. "Grote (Great) Gavioli", "Jupiter", they are the big stars among them, attaching a string of popular hits to their illustrous names. But. . . the organ to be heard on this record and portraited on the sleeve, belongs to a totally different category. In fact it's not a barrelorgan, at least not in the iiteral sense of the word, because you will search in vain for the wheel which is handled by the organ- grinderwith so much verve and conviction. Moreover, this instrument is also missing the colorful sculptured figures, as well as the wooden pipes, giving the barrelorgan its very personal and beautiful sound. This instrument, in fact, was built and constructed by Gerard Rozenberg of Middelharnis, an organbuilder and maker of organ- books by profession. It has a very modern style. Mr. Rozenberg used a 120-bass accordeon, big and snare-drums, maraccas, woodbioc and cymbals as most important ingredients. By means of a ventilator these instruments are supplied with wind. The bas- ses of the accordeon are connected to a 20 Watt-amplifier to produce rich deep tones. An electric organ, marked Elecor - that's where the name Eiecordeon comes from- constructed by Keizers- waard Cy in Berkei (Holland) produces the fine countervoices. The organ can truthfully reproduce the sounds of a variety of instruments, it even can yodel or blow the cuckoo-sound. The Eiecordeon, 2 x 1 x 1.70 m in measurements, has been placed on a trailer with passenger-car, so that the instrument can be heard everywhere in the country. The groping-system of the books is the only technical detail similar to the barrelorgan. The Elecor is owned by father and son J. and M. Waerts who let many people enjoy the sounds of this instrument during the weekends. The various numbers in this album were made by mr. Razenberg of Middelharnis. Het draaiorgel, dat op regelmatige tijden door de Nederlandse steden trekt, is als opname-object voor de gramofoonpiaat, algemeen bekend geworden. "Grote Gavioli", "Jupiter" etc. zijn de sterren onder hen, die reeds talrijke "hits" op hun illustere namen schreven. Maar . . . het orgel, dat U op deze plaat hoort en op deze hoes vindt afgebeeld, is van een geheel ander soort. Eigenlijk is het geen draaiorgel, in de letterlijke zin genomen, want het wiel, waaraan de orgelman zo lustig pleegt te draaien, zult u tevergeefs zoeken. En ook de fleurige gebeeldhouwde figuren, die een draaiorgel zo pittoresk maken, ontbreken op dit instrument, evenals de houten pijpen, welke het draaiorgel die mooie, eigen klank geven. Orgelbouwer en draaiorgelboekenfabrikant Gerard Razenberg uit Middelharnis heeft dit orgel gebouwd in een zeer moderne stijl en naar zijn eigen idee. Hij gebruikte hierbij een 4-korige 120-bas accordeon, grote en kleine trom, sambaballen, woodbloc en bekkens. Door middel van een ventilator worden deze instrumenten van wind voorzien. De bassen van de accordeon worden door een 20 Watt versterker tot prachtige diepe tonen opgevoerd. Een elec- tronisch orgel van het merk Elecor, -vandaar de naam Elecordeon- een eigen ontwerp van de fa. Keizerswaard uit Berkel, zorgt voor de fraaie tegenzang. Dit orgel is zo geconstrueerd, dat het de klank van vrijwel alle instrumenten kan nabootsen, kan jodelen, en zelfs koekoek roepen. De Elecordeon, afmetingen 2 x 1 x 1.70 m is geplaatst op een aanhangwagen, gekoppeld aan een personenwagen. Zo kan het vrijwel overal zijn muziek doen horen. De verwantschap met het draaiorgel beperkt zich tot het aftast-systeem van de boeken, die ook hier wel degelijk aanwezig zijn. De Elecor is in het bezit van vader en zoon J. en M. Waerts, die op vrije zaterdagen velen van dit instrument laten genieten. De diverse nummers op deze LP zijn gemaakt door de heer Razenberg uit Middelharnis.
