Description
No New York LP - Contortions, Teenage Jesus & the Jerks
Legendary 1978 fourway split album on Island offshoot Antilles. It was assembled and produced by Brian Eno to showcase New York's post punk scene - it succeeded in influencing a whole new generation - you can hear a lot of early Sonic Youth here for example. It's a fantastic, energetic, intelligent compilation - less rock, more art.The vinyl is EX, it sounds great and if I didn't already have a nice copy I wouldn't be offering it for sale.
The sleeve is VG because of some creasing and general light wear. The inner sleeve is also a bit creased. The record lives in an anti static liner.
Like many of the records I'm selling today this came from the large collection of a busy man now aged 61. Due to the size of his collection many of the LPs were only played once or twice from new - some were never played and they were all properly looked after. His musical taste was towards the avant garde/free end of the jazz spectrum as well as being a fan of prog, psych and experimental music. I will be selling selected records from his collection over the next few years so please add me to your favourites list!
