By condensing the sonic explorations of Meddle to actual songs and adding a lush, immaculate production to their trippiest instrumental sections, Pink Floyd inadvertently designed their commercial breakthrough with Dark Side of the Moon. The primary revelation of Dark Side of the Moon is what a little focus does for the band. Roger Waters wrote a series of songs about mundane, everyday details which aren't that impressive by themselves, but when given the sonic backdrop of Floyd's slow, atmospheric soundscapes and carefully placed sound effects, they achieve an emotional resonance. But what gives the album true power is the subtly textured music, which evolves from ponderous, neo-psychedelic art rock to jazz fusion and blues-rock before turning back to psychedelia. It's dense with detail, but leisurely paced, creating its own dark, haunting world. Pink Floyd may have better albums than Dark Side of the Moon, but no other record defines them quite as well as this one.
Condition
I want to be certain you are happy with your purchase and do all I can to ensure it is described accurately. I tend to be conservative when grading records and do my best to be as comprehensive and accurate as possible. I don't settle for a visual inspection. Records can look fine yet sound like crap. I listen to every record/song I sell.
This is a sweet recording. The vinyl is NEAR MINT: clean, with few visible flaws. NO skips. Sounds terrific. Very glossy, little surface noise, when audible, mostly between songs. Good pressing. Black Harvest labels. "MASTERED BY CAPITOL" stamped in dead wax. Labels look good. A good listen. "

Your record will be thoroughly cleaned, ship in a new audiophile-quality paper/poly inner sleeve and a heavy-duty poly outer bag. I use pro-quality cardboard mailers and pack each parcel well to ensure your order arrives in even better condition than when I took its pictures. I recondition nearly every LP I sell. If in doing so I mess it up, (it happens) I will make it right. I want you to be completely happy with your transaction. I don't gouge on shipping. It costs me $3.40 (with tracking) and I charge $3.50.

These are records I collected over the last 40 years. I bought many of them new and have kept them that way. Others, ones I bought used or traded for, were carefully chosen, thoroughly cleaned and stored properly. If they came with printed sleeves or other promotional items, I saved them inside the cover along with the record, always stored in paper/poly liners.
