Norah Jones took the world (and the Grammys) by storm with her debut album Come Away With Me. Now she's back with one of the most anticipated follow-up albums in recent memory. On "Feels Like Home," Jones reunites with producer Arif Mardin, engineer Jay Newland, and their tight-knit touring band. And their pop, jazz and country-inspired sound has never sounded fuller than now on Analogue Productions 200g vinyl! Jones has written several new songs for Feels Like Home, but also features compositions by her band members, as well as covers by Townes Van Zandt, Tom Waits, Kathleen Brennan and Duke Ellington. Jones plays piano, Wurlitzer and reed organ and presents her stripped down troupe with guitar, backing vocals, bass and drums. There is no need to describe Jones' singing anymore, everyone recognizes him by now. The arrangements aren't quite as smooth as "Come Away With Me," but the music moves mostly in the color spectrum of country, pop, and jazz. "I'm glad the audience liked my last record," Jones said. “That was where I was at the time, musically speaking. This album shows where I am now. That's what a recording means to me, a kind of snapshot. We had a lot of fun making this record.«
