Condition of jacket: Very good - excellent, only very light rubbing and ring wear.
Condition of record: Excellent, very glossy, appears nearly as new, just a couple extremely minor and small scuff spots.

The monastic community now at Ampleforth traces its history back in an unbroken line to the foundation of Westminster Abbey by King Edward the confessor in the eleventh century. After a period of exile in France the community settled at Ampleforth on the edge of the North York Moors and established the College which has become one of the most famous Catholic Public Schools. The Schola Cantorum founded in 1970 by the present Director of Music consists of 35 boys aged ten to eighteen and five monks. Although principally a liturgical choir for the Abbey Church, the Schola Cantorum gives regular concerts at Ampleforth as well as Cathedrals and Churches in England, Holland, Germany, and Austria.
The Chamber Orchestra consists of boys, members of the staff and friends of the College.
Choral Scholarships are offered to boys of 10 and Instrumental Scholarships to boys of 13: both are tenable until they leave at 18.
