Carla Thomas: "I'll Never Stop Loving You" c/w The Prophets Band "Peaches Baby"
Horace's/Kent Records 6Ts Anniversary Commemorative record from 1991.
A limited pressing of 200 copies of this 45 were manufactured as a free single given to attendees of the 1991 6Ts Anniversary allnighter at London's legendary 100 Club.
Aside from being genuinely scarce this 45 features the original vinyl release of one of the greatest previously unissued 60s soul dance tracks. A winner from a great soul vocalist and queen of the Stax stable. The Prophets side is the only way to get the instrumental version of the ultra rare Shrine single "Peaches Baby". Really hard to believe it but this issue itself is now over twenty years old.
Condition is Excellent+. The playing surface of the record exhibits full gloss with just a few minor sleeve marks from storage. The very outside edge of the record has a very minor chip from manufacturing rather than mishandling. The chip is away from the run in grooves and does not affect the music in any material way. Fidelity is loud and crystal clear.
