Description
This is the highly coveted Cashmeres 45 RPM record from 1965 (HEM 1000), produced by Fred Perrin from the Washington, D.C. area. The songs are both upbeat Northern Soul. The plug side is “Show Stopper”, and the flip is “Don’t Let the Door Hit Your Back.”
Using Goldmine standards this record is most likely VG. The particulars are:
- Both sides play fine, no skipping
- There are no cracks, chips or warps of any kind
- The labels are both free of any marks, stickers, or labels
- There is average sheen to the vinyl
- There are about 7 fine lines on Show Stopper, perpendicular to the playing grooves; some are audible (before the beginning and at the end of the song, last few seconds)
- There was once a drop of paint on the plug side but recently that was successfully removed; however, the location is apparent (it is cleaner than the rest of the record, but has some rub marks around it – see Showstopper in the 7:00 o'clock position).
