THE ATLANTIC COAST SHOW CUSTOM RECORDS LPA 1002
You may notice that I've sold many, many records on ebay.
This is one of the most unusual records that I've ever been able to offer.
I'm NOT using the usual GOLDMINE standards here for this record.
I have played this record twice.....on each side. I tracked it at 1 1/2 grams. I didn't notice any skips.
The surface noise is certainly on the high side......but no skips.
I guess, if I were forced to grade it, I'd call it fair to good.
I almost never sell anything on ebay that is below a VG+ rating, so that makes this listing VERY UNUSUAL for me.
Anything below a VG+ .....I usually throw it in the trash, unless it's an unusually collectible record.
I think this record fits into the category of UNUSUALLY COLLECTIBLE records.
The cover has a moderate degree of discolor......but no ringwear that I can see.
There is seam-splitting on the top and on the bottom......and obviously has been taped up.
But mostly...the cover is in relatively good condition. No bends or creases. (has not been sat on by an elephant....LOL)
I can not find ANY reference to this record.... on the internet....or anywhere else.
How can this be?
It feels like I'm selling a record that technically doesn't exist.
I played guitar with the SOULVILLE ALL-STARS in 1968 and I had been playing for 3 years before that,
but I don't remember any of these bands and I don't recall ever hearing about THE ATLANTIC COAST SHOW.
The "All-Stars" played mostly in Pennsylvania, and Baltimore, Washington, New Jersey.
Since listing this, I've called a couple of my bandmates from the 'All-Stars"...and they don't remember the "ATLANTIC COAST SHOW".
I should also mention that this was obviously a studio recording, not a 'live' recording.
So, I don't know if these people ever released a 45 ...or if this was just a promo for a tour.. for bands that I never heard of.
It's a mystery to me!

Here is a weird update: October 30, 2010
I received a very mean email from someone that said I was making up a story about the SOULVILLE ALL-STARS, just to sell this record.
Well.....somebody had to play guitar in our band !
It just happened to be me.
I'm remain a bit pi.sed that I gave away 30 copies of "I'M GONNA GET TO YOU" in the 70's.
