Downbeats - Request Of A Fool/Your Baby’s Back - Tamla.


Highly collectible early Motown. Request Of A Fool, written by Johnny Dawson the lead singer, is a nice example of the early Motown sound with its uptempo soft R&B tinge. Your Baby’s Back written by Berry Gordy is a more laid back doo-wop sound. The Downbeats would eventually morph into The Elgins.

Vinyl has a couple of minor scuffs and is therefore graded Excellent Minus.
