Northern soul 45 AND THE ECHOES “Why Wonder” on PULSE Baltimore private ‘67 nice HEAR

Label:   PULSE  “The Sound of Baltimore” ~ # P-2078.  Label is white with black text.   Pressed at Virtue Studios.

Year:   1967

Condition:   Nice VG+ with 100% of original gloss.  Has a few slight scuffs that produce an isolated soft tick or two, but no serious marks or distractions.  Fidelity is excellent as you can hear in the accompanying sound clip.  Labels display rubbing, and there is a small notation on one side presumably to identify the plug side, as this appears to be a demo.

NOTE:  Baltimore, MD featured some outstanding teenage horn bands back in the mid 60s when these tracks were issued, with “And the Echoes” ranked right up there amongst the elites.  Originally known as Tommy Vann and the Echoes, the band originally got its start in 1962.  After the departure of Tommy Vann in 1966, the band continued as And The Echoes.
