I am the original owner.  My albums are stored vertically in protective plastic. 
Condition - Opened, *played once*.  That means the disc has been slid out to admire it, played on my Concept turntable once, and replaced.  I would fairly call the discs mint/excellent condition.  
I know you want to receive this in excellent condition, so I always use a heavy cardboard protective mailer and additional cardboard stiffener to ensure maximum protection during shipping.
