OASIS - Definitely Maybe - 1994 Double Vinyl UK CRE LP169 Damont Pressing VG/VG.
This LP is from my personal collection. I've had this since the original release. It was probably played about 20-30 times back in the 90's, but has been rarely played since and is stored in poly sleeves. There is some surface noise as expected with age. This pressing is the best way to enjoy to this classic album; still sounds great and I got goosebumps re-listening to it.

I've graded this using the Discogs / Record Collector system. Specifically I'd class it as VG/VG.

There is some surface noise especially between tracks, but I would class this as "crackles" - there are no big repeated scratches that cover multiple revolutions.

In terms of some specifics:

  • The are some more noticeable ticks and crackles between A1 and A2.
  • Side D has some visual evidence of what might be no-fill on D1 (Digsy's Dinner) and more obviously on D3 (Married with Children). I can't hear anything wrong with D1, but there is a section of distortion for 0.5s on two revolutions on D3 which may be as a result of either that or groove wear.
  • There are some visible scratches on the vinyl - perhaps three or four obvious ones in total. However, I think this only effects the audio in one case - a noticeable "tick" about 20 seconds into B2 (Columbia).
  • There is a slight manufacturing fault on the label for Side A - a small piece of white paper has been pressed onto the label during manufacturing.
  • There is shelf wear and fading to the spine and around the edges (see photos) but otherwise the sleeve is in good condition.
  • Sibilance is noticeable on D3, but this is very likely my stylus/cartridge. I have a second copy of the same pressing that sounds the same.
Original plain white inner sleeves with cut corners are included, however the records themselves are stored in poly sleeves which are included in the sale.
