Oasis : Definitely Maybe A1 / B1 / C1 / D1 1st Damont Press 1994
This very collectable first pressing plays with incredible quality on all four sides. I have play tested the album in full (as always) and the clarity, power and depth of the audio is absolutely stunning! There are only 3/4 very quiet ticks at the start of 'Columbia' and even ticks seems too strong a word! This album has clearly hardly ever been played and that is reflected in the sonic quality on offer here. Every track bar one grades as Mint I have not even graded one as Mint minus! It is without doubt a FINAL UPGRADE archive pressing.
The gatefold is still enclosed within the original shrink-wrap (apart from the opening edges) and still has the original HMV price sticker on the front. It remains in great condition with only very minimal wear. The original Oasis Information leaflet is in perfect condition and the plain white inners are in excellent shape also.

Visual description
The vinyls are in excellent condition and still have a strong glossy sheen. The first record only has a small number of faint hairlines and just one minor blemish on S1 but this has no affect on the audio. The second record has hardly any hairlines but does have a small 2cm mark on each side which was clearly caused during the pressing of the LP and again it has no impact on the audio quality. One other tiny blemish on S4 but again no issue. The labels are very clean with hardly any spindle wear and only S1 looks to have a small section on the edge folded over. This looks like it was caused during the manufacture of the record. I would also say each record has a very minor lift on one edge - not a warp and it has no affect on the stylus or audio. It is only a very minor thing and hardly worth a mention!
Play grading
The lead in on S1 has no background and then the intro on 'Rock 'N' Roll Star' plays with perfectly clarity also. The opening vocal is equal to that and it continues to play with genuine power and depth and no interference. Every section plays with such quality and there is no distortion on the top end. The high octane finish is superb! A Mint start to the album for sure.
'Shakermaker' plays to the same high end standard with no intrusion. Again you can play it loud without fear of distortion and the sonic quality is just stunning. As always every track is played in full and this is easily another Mint track.
The intro on 'Live Forever' is faultless and Gallagher's opening vocal passage is 'as new' also. The mid instrumental keeps up the standard and the remainder is just as strong. Another fade out with zero background is another point worth mentioning. Mint
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
'Up In The Sky' plays with phenomenal clarity, depth and power and 'as new' is a correct description.
The quiet intro on 'Columbia' plays very clearly with only 3/4 very quiet dull ticks at the beginning. They are so quiet and totally non-intrusive and barely qualify as interference! The rest of the intro is flawless. From then on this classic plays a blinder! The sonic quality is off the scale, there is not one single negative. It's such a strong dynamic track - I will grade the intro as Ex+ but even that seems a little harsh! The rest of this classic is undeniably Mint including the long fade out.
The acoustic intro on 'Sad Song' plays with sublime clarity and thereafter plays with perfectly clarity and warmth. A stunning version, the definitive version you could say. It plays beautifully with no background and Mint is richly deserved.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The intro on 'Supersonic' plays perfectly and the first verse and chorus also play with stunning precision. It proceeds in the same way and I have to say I really noticed the depth of the audio on this track. The sonic quality is so impressive and from start to finish there is literally no background. Another easy one to grade. Mint
'Bring It On Down' plays loud and true with no interference or distortion. Rare in a way because this album was produced 'loud' and yet the sonic quality is not affected in any way. Mint
The classic intro on 'Cigarettes And Alcohol' is 'as new' and the opening vocal is equal to that. From then on it plays as per the rest of the album! With impeccable clarity and power.... and no interference. A 'busy' track but again nothing is lost and once again Mint is deserved.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
S4 begins with a top quality version of 'Digsy's Dinner' and then 'Slide Away' plays with superb audio also. Every vocal and instrumental play so clearly and again there is no background. A great chorus and both of these tracks grade as Mint
A couple of light static ticks in the dead wax and then the acoustic intro on 'Married With Children' has no background at all. Every verse and chorus play with stunning clarity and it provides a perfect finish to this classic debut. Mint all the way.
In summary this first pressing plays with STUNNING quality across all four sides and is easily a FINAL UPGRADE archive pressing. In essence there is no interference - admittedly there are 3/4 ticks on the 'Columbia' intro but they are so quiet and like I say non-intrusive. The clarity, definition and power of the audio is so impressive and what is just as impressive is that there is no distortion on the record. An incredible 'listen' from start to finish.
The Gatefold, Oasis Flyer & Inner Sleeves
The cover is in superb condition with only very minimal shelf wear. The shrink-wrap still encloses the vast majority of it apart from the opening edges and a small section around the bottom left corner. The only wear that I can see is a small amount of rubbing in that left corner and a minor rub in the bottom right corner but that really is very minor. The shrink has resulted in the cover bending a little around the opening edge area but I'm sure this could be 'ironed out' if it was removed. It goes without saying that the gatefold has never been opened and as can be seen it still has the original HMV price sticker in the top right corners. A superb example.
The Oasis information leaflet is 'as new' with no creasing or writing. The two plain white inners have no side splits and only a little creasing. One of them does have some fading down one side.

I will only send items items worldwide via tracked shipping. This provides 'peace of mind' in case of loss or damage. The shipping costs are shown below and combined shipping is always offered. Any over-payment will always be refunded.
The Royal Mail only insure up to a value of £250 so if an item sells for more it may be wise to use a courier service (e.g. Parcelforce or DPD). An extra insurance premium will be required but I will not know the exact amount until the final sale price is known. Because of this I will sometimes have to estimate the cost and this will be shown in the listing. Please wait for the invoice before making payment and if you have any questions please feel free to ask. Many thanks.
All vinyls are packaged in strong over-sized custom made mailers with plenty of extra cardboard protection. They are placed inside separate poly-lined inners outside the cover so as to avoid seam splits in transit and then placed inside a PVC sleeve to provide even more protection. I pride myself on my high quality packaging as my feed confirms and if any customer has any specific requirements I am more than happy to help.
The mailers I use cost £1.00 each and I will use anything between 3-5 cardboard stiffeners which cost approx £0.18 each. There is also the cost of the poly-lined inner and PVC sleeve to consider, it all adds up! Not forgetting that eBay take 10% of the shipping fee also!!
