Description
You are bidding on an 12" Audiodisc Acetate, recorded on both sides at 33 RPM.
This is an oddity. Both sides are recorded, featuring piano solos, with four tracks on one side and three on the other.
On the labeled side, each track is listed as being named after a French painter: 1.) Dufy, 2.) Degas, 3.) Seurat, 4.) Chagall.
In addition, each track starts with a producer (or someone) introducing the piece, sort of a naming of the track, before the pianist starts playing. Some of the tracks seem to have other things said before the music starts, which may be names of paintings.
The flip side also features the spoken introductions on two of the three tracks (Gauguin and a non-Frenchman, Van Gogh), but does not have any information written on it.
Truly an oddity.
Here is a clip featuring the starts of the first three pieces (with their introductions) from the A side and the first track from the B side, back to back all in one clip. Clicking on this link should take you to a separate page where the clip will play. If that doesn't work, copy and paste the link into a browser:
