Description

Odeon Records 1916   -   Odeon China Co. Ltd, Shanghai China. This rare Chinese recording was unearthed in a sea chest of possessions owned by my Great Uncle, Captain W.F. Richardson who as part of the Middlesex Regiment posted to Vladivostock in 1917. Prior to arrival in Russia he was appointed Provost Marshall of Hong Kong Prison and  I assume this record was collected at that time. It has remained sandwiched between old books in his sea chest until a few weeks ago. For such an old record it appears in excellent condition 
From research conducted I will assume this record is very rare, few remaining in private hands
