Highly collectable release from audiophile label, Classic Records. This title was mastered at Half Speed from the original source master tapes. An all-analog, tube amplification process was used at every step, then pressed on high quality virgin vinyl, one sided at 45 RPM, for the highest possible audio quality. Classic Records used a proprietary vinyl that guaranteed virtually no surface noise and sonically superior dynamics.

In short, this is as good as this album is ever going to sound on vinyl. Don't wait... this four record set is long out of print and growing harder to find - especially in this brand new, still sealed condition.

This two record set is new and still sealed in it's original loose plastic sleeve. Records are sealed individually - not together. Perforations on both discs are completely intact. Corners are sharp, colors vibrant and spines are straight. There are no flaws or blemishes. 100% mint.

Review: The full ballet, as well as a concert suite, has been frequently performed and recorded. Efrem Kurtz, who conducted the world premiere, recorded some of the music for Columbia Records on 78-rpm discs. In 1947, Arthur Fiedler and the Boston Pops Orchestra recorded the ballet for RCA Victor; this high fidelity recording was later issued by RCA as its first 33-1/3 rpm LP in 1950. In 1954, Fiedler recorded the concert suite in stereo, his first stereophonic session for RCA.
