Up for grabs is an original 1989 release of Mother Love Bone's Shine EP on glorious sounding vinyl. Mother Love Bone were a legendary Seattle grunge band featuring future Pearl Jam members Stone Gossard and Jeff Amend. The band also featured lead singer Andrew Wood who tragically died from a heroin overdose before his true light could shine. The Temple of the Dog project was a tribute to Andrew as well as the classic Alice In Chains song "Would?" This is a promo copy, which in most cases, are the earliest of pressings. I'm going to rate the overall condition of the album as VG++. The visual grade of the LP under natural lighting was EX with the original gloss in tact. I doubt it was played more than once or twice. I also play-tested samples from the EP and the surface noise was extremely minimal, and the overall sound was dynamic and punchy. I'm going to rate the condition of the cover as VG due to a 2-inch seam split at the bottom, otherwise it is pretty nice for a black-colored cover (see pics). Overall, this is a really nice copy of this historic Seattle Scene release. I'm not sure of the exact production run, but these have to be on the rare side. Please look at the pictures closely which I think clearly display the condition of the album.
