OG stereo lp THE SONICS - BOOM Etiquette 027 1966 garage punk rock vinyl VG/VG Shipping Info   Description Rare original pressing NW garage punk lp: THE SONICS – BOOM – on Etiquette Records (Tacoma, Washington), purple label, stereo, ET-ALBS-027; matrix has “(triangle) 8564; S-027-1-RE” and “(triangle) 8564-X; S-027-2-RE”; 12 tracks; no printed date but released in 1966. The Sonics are an American garage rock band from Tacoma, Washington, originating in the early 1960s. Among the Sonics' contemporaries were the Kingsmen, the Wailers, the Dynamics, the Regents, and Paul Revere and the Raiders. Their aggressive, hard-edged sound has been a major influence on punk, garage, and hard rock music worldwide. CONDITION: VG/VG (vinyl is still glossy with moderate scuffing and a few very minimal soft scratches – it plays through and sounds great with no skips and a few areas of minor background noise; labels are clean; jacket has minor cover rubbing, minor corner bumping; clean spine and top edge, but bottom edge has a 4-inch split; back cover has a small dent and a couple of small spots).
