Description

Up for auction is a rare original copy of the Ohio Player's debut album "Observations In Time" released on Capitol Records (ST 192) in 1969.  This is an original first pressing on the Capitol black and rainbow label.  This copy is in very nice condition.  The cover looks really nice.  No ring wear, tears, writing, or age discoloration.  Upper right corner has a small crease; otherwise, the corners are sharp, no seam splits, no cracking or losses.  Call it Near Mint- (NM-).  They vinyl is in very nice condition, too.  Retains its original high gloss luster and shine.  No marks around the spindle holes.  Has one hairline on Side One on last track, and a couple very faint hairlines on Side Two, first track.  None of the hairlines can be felt with my fingernail, which means they are very superficial and light.  I have play tested this record, and they do not affect play back in any way, cannot be heard.  Record has great fidelity and sounds clean for the most part, even in the quiet passages.  Only the faintest presence of any background noise in certain places.  A really nice sounding original pressing.  Call it EX++.  Overall, a very well-preserved copy of this highly collectable early psych-funk classic.
