UP FOR AUCTION IS A MINT CONDITION 2XLP VINYL OF THE POSTHUMOUS & TO THIS DAY UNRELEASED ALBUM "ASON UNQIUE" BY THE LATE OL' DIRTY BASTARD AKA DIRT MC GIRT
ABOUT 100 PROMOTIONAL UNITS OF THE FULL LENGTH LP WERE PRESSED UP BY THE DAMON DASH MUSIC GROUP (ROC-A-FELLA) & ISLAND DEF JAM RECORDINGS FOR PRESS USE & OTHER EXECUTIVE PURPOSES.
A Son Unique was originally to be released on August 9, 2005, but was subject to numerous delays. It was to be released on November 7, 2006 to commemorate the anniversary of ODB's death, which occurred on November 13, 2004, but kept getting pushed back. On the day of its planned release, A Son Unique was made available on iTunes. The release was eventually cancelled by ODB's label, Roc-a-Fella Records. The album was finally going to be released in November 2009 to commemorate the fifth anniversary of ODB's death, but eventually got delayed again.
Before releasing A Son Unique, ODB changed his stage name from Ol' Dirty Bastard to Dirt McGirt. The working title for the album was Dirt McGirt.
