Description
Prestige 7223
Original mono press from 1962 of killer blowing session featuring three tenors and a rhythm section of Gene Casey on piano, George Duvivier on bass and Roy Haynes on drums. All tunes are Oliver Nelson compositions except "Perdido."
Vinyl is VG+*, with good gloss and a few surface marks that cause minimal noise. The sound is warm and full bodied.
Laminated cover is in excellent condition, with all seams intact and no cutout marks. There is a signature on the front and staples holes; otherwise very clean (see photo below).
Deep groove labels are clean (see photos below).
VAN GELDER is machine stamped in the dead wax.
